A’ THE AIRTS PHOTO COMPETITION 
A’ the Airts’ recently ran a digital photography competition for amateur photographers. We had a good response and the standard of entries was excellent. We would like to thank all of those who entered.

The winning entry came from Chris Burton with “Glenairlie Autumn” taken at Glenairlie Bridge. The judges, local photographers Stewart Readman and Allan Smith, commended it "for its lighting, exposure, tonality and composition". Second and third places went to Marion Macdonald. An exhibition of all the entries to the competition is on display at A’ the Airts until 6 November.

2012 CALENDAR
Five other local amateur photographers were amongst those whose photos were selected for a calendar “Images of Upper Nithsdale” which is on sale at A’ the Airts and other local outlets – including, naturally, the health centre.
